Home for 4 days

Having arrived home on Thursday night from the Bronzewood Paedeia tour, I immediately set about catching up on my sleep. I aggressively napped yesterday & today, then got started on laundry.

I will spend tomorrow (Sunday) doing a few administrivial things like going through the CD sales money from the BP tour, refilling my toiletry bag, etc., then will get ready for my next trip.

I leave for Tucson on Tuesday. It's the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers National Seminar from Wednesday through Saturday. Sunday is the Handbell Notation Conference, so I'll be there until I fly home on Monday afternoon.

This will be my first National Seminar & I am looking forward to seeing a bunch of old friends & meeting new ones. I am particularly interested in doing Martha Lynn Thompson's Finale track -- I've been using Finale since 1991, when it was *only* available on the Macintosh, but I know I'm not using it to its full effectiveness, so I'm hoping to learn a lot!

The other thing I signed up for was James Meredith's Advanced Ringing Track. I know some people wonder why I would do that - after all, I ring with Jim all the time (he's the director of Sonos!), so why would I go to a conference to ring with him? The answer is simple: Jim is such an incredibly gifted musicians that I could never ever hope to possibly learn all he has to teach, but I will take every opportunity I have to learn as much as I can from him.

Of course, I haven't really had time to look at the music for the Advanced Ringing Track, but I've been assigned to B6 C7, which is not really that difficult of a position.... I'll look at the music on the plane.

Anyway, I am looking forward to National Seminar. For those of you going, I will see you there! :-)
